Local-ity: Michele’s Granola

Nothing beats a local green company that produces a stellar product, like Michele’s Granola. Michele of Michele’s Granola in Timonium is adorable. She still sells her granola personally at market stands locally in the Baltimore area. And her small-batch granola is crave-worthy. She makes 5 flavors: Original, Pumpkin Spice, Ginger Hemp, Cherry Chocolate and Cinnamon Raisin. We’ve tried them all and they’re all tasty – and they smell amazing. Probably because this is the freshest granola we’ve ever had.

Not only is Michele’s granola delicious, it’s also created in a wind-powered facility and a large portion of the company’s waste is composted or recycled. Love that. Their eco-practices even include a truck powered by vegetable oil!

Michele will ship granola to you. Mail order is available from her website. Feel free to get a bunch – it says on the website that the granola will stay fresh for up to 3 months. But honestly, it won’t last that long. You’ll need more in a week. Luckily, if you are in the Baltimore area, you can also pick it up at Whole Foods, Roots, Wegmans and a variety of other shops.

Thanks to Michele’s groovy granola, breakfast will never be the same.
