ExpoFinds: MacroLife Naturals Drinks

Standard

When we saw MacroLife Naturals at the Natural Products Expo, it felt like we ran into an old friend. Of course, we had never met anyone who worked there before, but we got some of their bars in a Conscious Box and fell in love with them. We’ve been customers ever since, but had never heard about the Miracle Red or Macro Greens drink mixes.

Macro Greens drink was created in 1996 and contains 38 ingredients that feed the body at a cellular level, nourishing the body with antioxidants, co-nutrients, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Macro Greens is made with no common allergens, certified organic barley grass and is gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO.

Miracle Reds drink is a fruit blend with 19 antioxidant-rich fruits and berries;  acai, goji, mangosteen & turmeric; and is also gluten-free, vegan and non-GMO. This was my favorite of the two drinks. It’s sweet and fruity, and in no way reminds me of a “health food drink.” I can imagine mixing it with some kombucha for a perfect healthy concoction ~ as soon as we get to the Vitamin Shoppe to get some more, I will try it and post an update. 🙂
We did use both kinds in smoothies with frozen bananas and plain almond milk. In a most unexpected twist – we both felt really energetic after these drinks. Thumbs up.

MacroDrinks_lrIf you aren’t feeling the idea of smoothies or a drink mix stirred into water, MacroLife Naturals has an entire recipe page online. You can find lots of great ideas – from fruity ice cubes (which are gorgeous!) to soups and teas – all designed to help you get your Macro Greens and Miracle Reds each day.

Both powders are also available in large containers, and their are kid-friendly versions of each as well, Macro Coco Greens and Macro Berri Reds. Buying MacroLife Naturals is easy – you can find them at Vitamin Shoppes nationwide, as well as Whole Foods and other stores. They have an online store finder or you can purchase them directly.
